The Warrack Eagles will look to improve when they face the Horsham Saints at Coughlin Park tomorrow in a big day for the club as Jacob Cheney celebrates his 300th game.

Both teams have gone through the first two rounds without a victory so it's an important match for both teams.

The Saints are still battling injury so the Eagles know they have a chance, but only if they get the fundamentals right according to coach Matt Walder.

"We plan to win every match and it will be tough without having a full team to choose from, but the Saints are in the same boat, so we will go into the match positive," Walder said.

"We have to get our house in order and pattern down the fundamentals if we are to win. At the end of the day, it's on us and if we can't get our basics right, it will be hard so we just need to concentrate on what we can improve on ourselves."

The Southern Mallee Thunder travel to Alexandra Oval to take on a wounded, but dangerous Ararat team. The Rats will be without Jack Ganley, Tom Mills, Xav Vearing and a couple of other players.

In the other matches, Dimboola host Stawell at Dimboola Recreation Reserve and Minyip Murtoa hosts Horsham at Murtoa Recreation Reserve.

NETBALLERS LOOKING FORWARD TO TEST

After securing a great win against Ararat last week, the Warrack Eagles face the benchmark of the competition in the Horsham Saints at Coughlin Park.

Eagles coach Leiah McKenzie is looking forward to testing themselves.

"We aren't quite there yet to match them as a whole, but we have some good individual players that can match up well with them. We hope to make them feel uneasy in parts of their game," McKenzie said.

"It is a good test to see where we are at competing against these higher teams.

"We just need to improve on what we did last week in controlling the pace of the game and minimising unforced errors and chasing up the one percenters and giving ourselves opportunities."
