We were told about 6.55pm via text message that we needed to evacuate by 7.30pm so we left at 7.30, by the time we got all our things together and got ourselves organised. We've only been in Dimboola for few months so we didn't really know where we were going; we just drove to Warracknabeal, sat there for a little bit and found out on our phones about here. It was getting quite dark, very smoky, and you could see it moving in very quickly. Bev Herben
